I'm also tempted by the lightweight bundle but have been put off by previous experience, let me know how you get on with it.

I don't like the pockets on the lightweight jersey. Too small and the material is too stretchy to hold contents in place. I wear it mostly for indoor sessions and it's very good for that. No good for long unsupported rides as you can't carry what you need without ugly bicycle attachments.

Lightweight Bundle is with the (much nicer) Super Lightweight Jersey.

That mesh jersey they made for Sky was a far more interesting option than the current lightweight jerseys.
Also @Smallfurry, lightweight down to 10º?! I have PT base, PT Jersey, PT Long Sleeve Jersey, scarf and gilet on in that...and leg warmers! Guess I've gone native.

What does people think is warmer, the normal leg warmers or merino leg warmers?
-
• #19809
Not sure Id recommend the lightweight kit at 10c. But I've done it loads and been fine. I was riding up to the highest point in Gran Canaria in it at 10c. I was fine. There's warmth in the knowledge that you have more kit to put on in your jersey pockets though.

Excellent, the merino baselayer bundle, plus this got me a nice little bargain.
-
• #19811
The discontinued v neck merino baselayers are on eBay for £35 in certain sizes.

• #19812
Grimpeur sizes only.

Rapha, nice but a bit shit? Anyone had this happen to their gloves after about 7 rides?
-
• #19814
I've been vouchered, which is nice. Thinking jacket as I've got enough other kit.
Mostly a commuter for now and future, but occasional long road ride. I have a decent gillet and good windproof jacket already, plus old Endura e-vent which is quite tatty now but keeps heavy rain off still.
Thinking Softshell best option in terms of regular use? Any other views?
-
• #19815
Ive used my softshell maybe twice this winter, it just didn't get cold enough to use it. Think the consensus here is PTJ would get more regular use
-
• #19816
Cheers, any thoughts on Rain Jacket also, anyone wearing that regularly?
Guessing a shop visit to look closer & try them on will help.
-
• #19817
I wear mine nearly everyday atm, good wind proofing and I rarely get cooked inside it. Rolls up to fit in a jersey pocket too.

Nice to know, ta.

Voucher not working over here.
Any restrictions I might not see? -
• #19820
The closing entry for the competition was 14:00hrs, maybe someone switched the voucher off by mistake
Edit: Just chequed, still worked for me.

Yeah the printing on some items can be a bit suspect. Gloves and arm warmers seem to suffer the most. From my experience nothing else goes wrong with them but you've always got the option to return the item when ever you want..
-
• #19822
See previous few pages...
-
• #19823
What's weird is, I have arm-warmers that I must have bought eight years ago that still have the logo but I bought leg-warmers last year and the logo fell off before I'd even worn them.
The actual items are excellent but I don't know why the attention to detail has gone downhill.

Anyone know when the yellow bidons are coming back in stock ?

He's beckoning me for a hug here....
Oh, Pete.. Sweet, dear, Pete...
Thanks for the feedback guys. I live in Greece so 10c is like my winter. I guess I should be fine using it most of the time. @Kompute I already have some pro team jerseys and I am tempted by the lightweight bundle. As for the descents I agree windproof gilet is a winner, I carry it with me on every single ride and it has made a huge difference.
Anyway I think I will wait a bit before I order, to see the final pro team collection since there might be a pro team lightweight bib(?).
