Damn it skulls I came here to post that too!

This one just confused me but looking at it afterwards by raising the twisting the stand the lock will probably just slide off with the bike

Saw this special attempt at locking when I arrived at work this morning. Two decent d-locks and the only thing they've managed to secure is the front wheel to the stand.

They're scooters. That's anti-theft enough as it is.

Coaster brake = half an hour of faffing and several different tools to get the rear wheel out?
I have a bike with a coaster brake, it gets used in all weathers so the wheel nuts alone take a good 10 minutes of work. I never worry about not locking the rear wheel!

Locking just the saddle is pretty stupid though.
-
• #3970
You're missng the fact that the bike can be removed by temporarily taking off the saddle or maybe even just shifting the bike around to push the saddle through the d-lock.

Ah yes, I thought/assumed high toptube with lock around it. Now I look properly I see what you mean.

1 adjustable, 1 Allen key.
A couple of minutes max. -
• #3973
Where's this Max you speak of and can either you or he be available next time my coaster bike gets a rear puncture? Ta.

Seriously how is it taking you that long to do?
I've been using the S2C for about a year and it takes marginally longer to get in and out of the frame a single speed or fixed wheel does. -

Just took apart and re-serviced a bike with a coaster brake and internal gears. Takes about 20 seconds longer and a bit more force than a SS.
Spotted.
