  • Parkrun, decided to just jog round until the moment they said "go!" so then spent half of the first lap in the bunch trying to pass.

    20.44 which is 45 seconds slower than my target, but it was a nice run in the spring sunshine and I did set (inadvertently) a 1km PB of 3.51 at some point.

    (Something to note, my Garmin watch, and those of the two people I was running "with" all think that this course is a little long, my 5k time was 20.34, ten seconds before the end of the lap).

  • I'd take the measured course over the Garmin result. Good time though. 20mins isn't far off.

    3 1/2 weeks since my last run now - the inflammation in my glute appears to have gone (or, at least, I can't feel itany more) - I'll be trying for a few short runs next week, and some faster treadmill work in front if a mirror to iron out the upper body swing that is (one of) the apparent cause of the problem in my leg.

  • I've done dulwich parkrun many times and all but one time I've measured it as being slightly short. And I start quite far back... HTH.
