  • ..cheers.
There will be more, once the squally / showery / in one word: shit weather has passed.
Actually I just need an hour of good light in the very early morning I've found.
Late afternoon light would be sweet as well, but (surprise surprise) most shutters are open by then!

  • Great find and capture.

  • anyone planning photo's of the upcoming solar eclipse
what specialist gear will you be using ? dark filters

time lapse photo's might work set camera on tripod and set camera to take photo's every 10 or 20 seconds thus getting a nice transit
anyone up for a ride in london to view it properly and show me what i should do to get the best out of the opportunity

  • Will probably just go out and take photos of things down on earth while its going on.

  • good alternative
lots of people looking up ?

  • Yeah! I think you can get reflections of eclipses in windows etc too. Might make for a nice easter egg in a fence photo.

  • lots of people looking up ?

..presumably lots of people with funny glasses looking up, holding up smartphones..

  • Very nice, gives me a headache though.

  • ha

not sure if these are any good

  • I think they are both pretty cool!

  • I'm going to have a bash at this if i'm not working, 13 stop filter is required with an aperture of f22 and as fast a shutter speed your camera can handle.
Luckily i have a 10 stop and an nd8 so stacked should be just the job
Will post results if it's not cloudy but the chances of that in Manchester are pretty slim!

  • New lens arrived...
This was taken at 1/5 second hand held... And it focuses fast as fuck, silently.
