It seems that the website is down, and the Facebook page has been deleted…It was a guy on the south coast, £130 (I think) for 10 7"s.
Looking for someone in London who does it.>
Brighton?
If anyone is lost/ still looking for someone I sure I have details of a bloke that does mastering and small quantities of vinyl pressings.

is there a music shop in central London that does Korg Volca and DJ/sampler workstation type stuff? Guitar Guitar or Juno?

Fucking gutted about the rape of Denmark Street. Seriously shitty. London is turning into a fucking glass-fronted theme park for tourists. Fuck em all.
ANYWAY. I banged out this for a friend's budding restaurant business this week.

Bit twee but it seemed to fit the bill and i'm happy enough with the result.
I'm after a bureau desk that I can set up in a corner of the living room with room for a macbook and other connections/interfaces in so I can fold it up and have it out of the way when not in use. Imagine the monitors will sit on top. Anyone seen anything that fits this bill?
chhhhhhheeeeerrrrrrrssssss

Oh and I finally gave up and admitted that my Adam monitors are fucked. Going to try and get them repaired under Warranty but can't imagine I'll have much luck as I bought 'em on Gumtree and don't have the original sales invoice . Like a MUG.

Cheers man. It started off of a throwaway cover, it's not even a song I play out. It just popped into my head one day an I figured the chords out and banged out a rough version which just grew and grew over several weeks. It's become a trigger's broom job ass always with everything having been re-done multiple times. It's been bugging the shit out of me since before Christmas so I'm glad to have finally finished it.
There's an awful lot of hiss, most noticable at the start that I think may be coming from the Waves Kramer tape emulation (one instance of which is generating the vocal slap echo and there's another one doing the mastering compression in the stereo bus). Might have a quick look at cleaning that up tonight. Maybe drop the lead vocal level a smidge too.
EDIT: got a couple of tweaks to do actually. i'll leave it up though. Just replace the file with a new one when I'm happy with some minor eq/level changes.
Then I shall move on.

I'm about to splurge on a new mac. After much deliberation i think i'm going to stick with imac (and use an ipad or sav eup for an air for mobile duties). Want to stick with Logic 9 really. Heard it's really buggy in Mavericks. Anyone else tried?
I have some music bits up for sale in Classified. A Stagg small diaphragm condenser mic, guitar pedals, melodica etc. Tempted to add a Mackie Onyx Blackjack interface/pre-amp and some Shure and Sennheiser vocal mics too...

don't get the latest iMac get the one before, that's what all the cool kids say on forums and ting - summat about non user upgradeable RAMMAGE in the new one and stuff

Found it a bit of a ballache trying to finding a s/h one from someone i trust that's new enough to be the last of the upgradables though.... where's good for s/h macs?
I figured i might as well spend a bit now and get a new one tricked out with 16GB of RAM and SSD storage and be done with it for the next 5 years. No?

So the saga of the faulty Adam Monitors continues but this time with a bit of good of good Karma.
The official repair company in North Acton, whom I had to take a day off work to drive to, failed to find anything wrong with them and offered to replace the amps for £247. Each. £494! That's almost more than they're worth new and almost twice what I paid for the fucking things so obviously a no-go. I emailed Adam to see if they would honour the original 5 year warranty and cover the repair and they declined. I replied, hopefully and politely one last time requesting they reconsider and the dude at Adam replied and asked me to call him.
When I rang him up and he basically thanked me for not being a dick about it and said if I could get the speakers back of the repair people then he would fix them for free. Turns out Adam UK's office is in the building next to Halfords of Effra Road. Result! It cost me another £60 to get them posted back here and I just went over there to drop them off. The other lady who works there was super sweet too.
Only fly in the ointment now is that although the fault occurred 99.9% on one speaker, as it had occurred, albeit just the once, on the other one: i'd send both units to the repair people. Now the guy at Adam has offered to repair the faulty one but I don't which one it is... I just hope when he tests them the fault is apparent straight away.
Moar boring speaker related anecdotes soon.
In other news. I'm off to the studio next week. Two days at Soup in Limehouse. Really looking forward to it.
latest thing - all in the box but was mastered for me on some seriously nice outboard gear which has totally changed it beyond anything I could have achieved myself
