Want some more Vitus?
thanks but no thanks
posting your own makes it anti -

I think it's obvious this Vitus will never become porn, I don't see it as "porn", just as a Vitus (but not "less Vitus" than others shown here either).
BTW: none of your bikes shown here??

I'm curious about this apparently nonsensical comment
why would you post your own frame in a porn thread if even you do not see it as porn?
Is this an ironic or troll post then? -
• #91757
Maybe ironic, yes (though I wouldn't put it that way).
I saw one Vitus here worth being posted here and I don't know how many other Vitus-bikes that are nothing more than that: "a" bike with some decals saying Vitus. Just like the one I bought for my wife. She wanted a vintage-like bike but not a heavy one. This one I found couple of days ago and since there were different posts here showing Vitus, I thought: I'll throw mine amongst?
Are you the one doing quality-control here?

may I suggest current projects next time you wish to throw pictures of your own projects around the porn thread?

have i hit a nerve?

Vitus, are 95% of the time, a solid 7.5/10.
Lovely looking bikes IMO, though far too common/standard to be truly pornworthy.
(Dare I say...like a 'Nago Super?)
(edit: No because I fucking LOVE nago supers. Especially red ones with white tape n saddle)

The equivalent of rolling your eyes and saying "oooh! touchy!": guaranteed to wind anyone up.
@WimVDD People don't normally post their own bikes in here because it's immodest. However, people love it when you post your own bike so they can make you feel stupid for doing so. Personally I liked your white vitus.

I understand people not liking others to post their own bikes as porn. But again: I don't see my wife's Vitus as porn, nor did I post the photo of it because I think it belongs here. I was just throwing another Vitus on top of other Vitus bikes I don't consider to be porn... For me, Vitus is very "ordinary" - our Belgian cyclocross-scene was full of them in the early 90's, thanks to Guerciotti, Alan and many others who bought Vitus-frames and sold them with their name on it. The reason they have become rare is that most of the ones that were really used to race, broke after a while... (my brother ruined 2 of them in less than 1 season).

If it takes you four posts to explain something it probably wasn't a very good idea to post it in the first place

What? All these years I've been thinking the bonded aluminium Alan frames were completely unrelated to the bonded aluminium Vitus frames
I feel a fool now. Well, one of us should.

You have a lot of suggestions for this world, Saarf. Thanks for being so generous.
@mdcc_tester: I just meant that those early bonded alu bikes like Vitus, Alan, Guerciotti, TVT were omnipresent here (as the original brand but also as local brands using those frames but with other decals) and that they all had the same problem: they broke easily. No idea they came from the same production or not. I used Vitus only because this is all about Vitus (but meant the type of framebuilding).

unsure how i feel about this /\, at the moment the feeling is forks seem too oversize in conjunction with rear triangle
I would say: that bike has ugly tyres. ;-)
Picked up a Colnago C9x today (yellow as a canary) that had some yellow tyres (and bottle cage) on it too. Putted on "normal" coloured ones and it looks a completely different bike.
