Can't see contact from this angle. Red player wasn't looking where he was going but neither was the grey one who dabbed.
Edit: if that's not slo-mo, that's almost definitely the grey player being daft, he turned right and left after the red wheel stopped moving sideways before he gave up and put his foot down.

Hahaha
That the ruleset we're playing at souths lately?
-
• #3281
Looking forward to see how this plays out.
Surely hooking off ball should be illegal too?! -
• #3283
Surely this just makes reffing soooo much harder and the game a lot more difficult to explain to beginners? To me some of those illegal moves were not intentional..
-
• #3284
Well it should be pointed out, they weren't illegal at the time, but when something is illegal people have to actively avoid doing them...
I'm not really at a level where this will affect me and the same can be said of beginners and throwin's.

I think we are going a little far with the ruleset.
The only way we can truly have a decent ruleset is when you have official refs and they are at tournament to ref and not to play...otherwise it will never really work. Has this been addressed? Also the problem can be the players as much as the refs, there will always be dick players (even the best in the world) these players piss off players abiding to the rules when shit doesn't get called by refs who don't care and just end up with players shouting at the ref because they feel hard done by.Rant over......

I think experimentation is a good thing. We should try it and give our feedback, both positive and negative.
Better refs is a must though.

You can mess with the rules all you like, it makes no difference if nobody is going to be able to/willing to enforce them.

Very difficult for people who are not really into reffing and rules to be able to ref that rule.

Would love to see a UK team or two at this tournament. Always a great laugh. Registration is in 25 minutes though I think, worth sending an email though.

I would call foul, a reckless dolphin slap some could say? I would match this maneuver to a feet off the ground two footed tackle to the shins in football.
