  • East to west for me this morning, +1 wind do not want

  • Any direction, don't care, I'll kick its balls in.

  • Had to ride to Chorlton for my first job, headwind made of tiny ice daggers, such face pain.

  • Much less wind than over the weekend, bit sore (from the weekend rides). Would ride again 7/10

  • I bet it was artisanal ice blowing from Chorlton.

  • Quite, organic and free-range, fresh from source. The job was opposite unicorn actually and the hale stopped as I got there, maybe they're pumping it out to prevent global warming or something.

  • Tail wind in the sunshine back to the workshop was pretty good.

  • Especially after some artisan pasties from £1 bakery, out of vege sausage rolls though.

  • The wind. Yesterday I battled E to W (Dartford to Chelsea Bridge) via Pall Mall, it was soooooo windy I had to pedal hard to get down a small hillock in Belvedere. Crazees.

Mind you I used it to my advantage on the way back, for the 1st time ever I 'did' Shooters Hill on my fixed Dawes. I had to stop 2/3 of the way up to stop my heart from try to break my ribs from the inside. But I didn't give in and walk, oh no, I rode up the rest of the way. Thank you Mr Wind for some payback. Going down the other side was fun, 34.98mph, thats close enough to 35 for me, double whahey!

  • Put out 300watt just to crawl along South Carriage Drive at 14mph - It's a rest day, did not lol.

    The wind >>>>>>>

    Or more accurately <<<<<<<

  • Saw a white van man changing his tyre in the middle of a T-junction in Hackney, needless to say drivers around him were going ballistic.

    Where, out of interest?

  • Put out 300watt just to crawl along South Carriage Drive at 14mph - It's a rest day, did not lol.

    Shit fixie-skidders say thread. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    :)

  • This morning it was snow, this evening it was wind.

Still better than the bus, mind you.

  • Junction of Downs rd and Rectory rd, couldn't work out why he didn't park up somewhere a bit more suitable first.

  • He pays his road tax, he can do what he wants.

  • Blimey, that is a bit of a prime pick of a T-junction to be blocking. :)

    Always extremely busy.

He could perhaps have gone to the petrol station on Downs Road (which is disappearing soonish as the site is getting redeveloped).

  • Exactly..........

Makes you wonder what goes on in some people's heads.

  • There was one guy being held up who was hanging out his window, screaming blue murder. His face was so red, I thought he might explode. Was tempted to tell him he should get a bike as I glided past but didn't think it would've helped the situation.

  • Police at City Rd with Colebrook Row junction now checking RLJ's. Other cyclists heading into town taking all the cycle lanes both ways Grrr

  • Well that was strange, had a lovely quiet commute in, a few other cyclist, very lite traffic. Even light when I left.

First ride without the Gabba and it was very pleasant.

    9/10

  • Changed my bars for the second time in 2 days after I was taken ill mid fettle this weekend. Very twitchy ride with the risers. Too twitchy.

Had a wee look. In my haste, I'd not noticed that the front wheel had rotated 180 degrees while my back was turned. Laughed at myself, got the tool kit out, stem and wheel now pointing in the same direction. Lovely, stable ride in the rest of the way.

    LOL/10

  • I heard Halfords is looking for someone.

  • Last week my oyster did £20 auto top up twice. Not a good look. After four days of commuterengering on Ginger/Jubilee lines I HATED EVERYBODY. This is why peds who are on their first or last half-mile are such a danger... it's the frustration of trying to use our brilliant but oversubscribed pubic* transport system daily, then you cheerful bastards come along expecting to have priority on the road and not stopping in two metres on a greasy road cos we're crossing while busy checking grindrrr our phonelaptablet.

*intentional reference to what you might be touching when holding onto the orange hand pole things on trains ewww.
