Thinking of trading the mavic tyres
When I used the helmet amnesty my LBS weren't interested in an actual trade, so I should think you can keep the Mavics for a beater/turbo-wheel or something.

google says you can have them for £25 without amnesty http://www.cyclesuk.com/10500764/products/700-specialized-s-works-turbo.aspx?origin=pla&kwd=¤cy=GBP&gclid=CO7PqOvuicQCFSgcwwodmZwAJw

Might not work, we throw away the helmet, but with used tyres, we sell them instead so I don't think you can keep them.

How do people feel about Schwalbe One clinchers?
Currently running new version Duranos for riding around London mainly and they're fucking great in every aspect however One's are cheaper on Wiggle and seem like a pretty good deal. -

I had them; they developed cuts pretty fast .. not a commute tyre IMO .. if you are planning to go tubeless they are one of the best.
-
• #1210
They do cut up badly, tubeless or not.
-
• #1211
I have no issues with the cutting up (which is probably the softer rubber, I would guess) as long as it doesn't lead to punctures. I remember having GP4000's and Gatorskins and they would both cut up a ridiculous amount.
Grip in the wet is actually far more important to me and I was wondering if they would be superior to Duranos.

You can ride race tyres through London and they will grip better in the wet. Things will go through them though.
Duranos are perfect fast city tyres. Perhaps let some air out when it's wet for better grip.

Well once a year and then the exploding tube will be a helluva lot of fun in the office.

Might give Schwalbe One tubeless a go when I have run out of spare Contis. Which could be a while.

Have a look at the Clement Strada LGG, reasonably priced (£26 if you look around), and great all round alternative to those expensive tyres.
The 60tpi is plentiful enough.

Put a bicycle with a highly inflated tyres next to the radiator during winter and see what happen.
Veronica Moser happened.

The marks (they were around the whole tyre) on the sidewall indicate that the tyre was run with too low pressure for some time?
-
• #1221
especially for a 23mm tyres.

Bloody hell, look at all them tyres!
I have to confess that tubeless doesn't interest me whatsover. Seems to be a lot of effort for minimal gain if you're riding on roads for the vast majority of the time.

Aren't they're like a little over 30mm?
Is the life up on the mavics? Could help with a shit tire if not.
