  • Frankly I'd prefer to stay up and clear out the rot.

  • You just hired Tim Sherwood....

  • Courtois wasn't in goal right? That could account for him not being challenged.

  • I know.

I think i made my feelings on that decision clear. About as good a choice as McLeish, or giving Lambert a 4 year contract after 3 games this season, or etc, etc.

  • About as good as a hole in the head. If only Roy had stuck around...

  • was he not? My bad! They switched over to the match after the team line ups, and I only checked on Spurs.
Makes no difference really, chelsea keeper had nothing much to do, apart from a couple of long range efforts...

  • ^ and they had ball boys to deal with them

  • If Roy had stuck around.
    If Roy had stuck around.....

  • @Chalfie - tempt you out for a game for a game of 5-a-side tonight? well 6-a-side actually, we have 11 currently and can stand someone down but would be good to get more involved.

  • brixton at 19:30

  • He's more of a pundit these days..

  • he's dogged in both

  • Argh. I haz pass for training tonight. What time?
I haven't kicked a ball in years. And I'm highly (illogical) and immobile.
I can run for hours though.

Edit: saw the time. let me have a dig around for kit I've got at work and let you know in an hour.

  • Looks like Sol Campbell is going to stand in Kensington and Chelsea as a Tory candidate. All because he doesn't want to pay the mansion tax. WAFC

I kind of want him to get elected then. Earning ~£60k, having to run constituency surgeries, be at the HoP lots of the time, etc.

And very little chance that the Tories will ever prevent the Mansion Tax coming in this May.

  • Yeah it might be nice to see him actually doing something, other than whinging..

  • Watch him play the race card again if he doesn't get elected.

I think that's the only time I have ever used and will ever use that awful phrase, but the fucking cheek of him saying he would have been England captain for years if he'd been white, and suggesting that even when he was well past it at Arsenal second time round he should be playing for England just reveals how pathetic and arrogant he is.

And his self-righteous moaning just distracts from the actual, much more serious problems of discrimination in football.

    Fuck off you Tory wanker.

Seems like a standard Ipswich fan

  • I watched an interview with him the other day, where he said at his prime (when he feels he should have been captain), he was the best defender in the world.

  • This from a man of the same playing generation as Nesta, Maldini, Cannavaro, Thuram, Desailly, Cafu, Stam, de Boer etc etc...
