Ha, I'll race you to the back of C's then :)
I need to book a race accreditation first and April is EVERYONE'S birthday, but hopefully May I'll be "racing"
Can't afford these fine LFGSS.CC threads, I'll be in my too-big Rollapaluza Jersey and the blue Bob Jackson.
Are you coming along to Monday evenings? -

Slightly off topic: does anyone have a contact number for a HH organiser please? My emails have gone unresponded to, and a quick ten minute phone call would probably sort it out.
PM me please, thanks.

Does anybody know if you need a British Cycling race licence for track league? From the registration form it looks like you do...
-

Track league requires a Race license. The cheapest way is to get a BC Race silver membership (£40 - £20 NEWCMRA code, -£2 Direct Debit =£18) with a Free provisional license which entitles you to free Single Day Race License for track league, and £5 for a day license to Open events.
However, a single day license does not earn the rider any ranking points with BC. For this you need a Full license.Thats my understanding and what I applied for this morning, but I'm new to all this so if I'm wrong someone tell me now, please.

You need a license for track league - and Herne Hill race accreditation.
-
• #22
But you can race with a provisional licence and get free day licences for track league if you have race silver BC membership, right?
-
• #23
I don't know - sounds a bit fishy to me. Isn't that just for people who want to do one off races, not race every week?
-
• #24
Great, cheers. Got my accreditation now just need the bc licence

^^ ** A** free day race licence. You can only have one, after that you need to stump up. Day licenses are also at the race organiser's discretion so check with TL organisers first.
First night of racing is 1st April.
It will be my first season. I'm aiming to finish at the back of C for most of the season, and maybe give Bs a go if things somehow go magically well over the summer. I'm hoping to be racing in LFGSS kit. Anyway please do say hello, I'll be skulking around with my Moda looking intimidated.
By the by I'm looking to upgrade my chainset so if anyone has some good condition entry level (ish) cranks they want to shift I'm interested. I'm about 5'8 but not really sure if 165 or 170mm is better for me.
