Cover it in skate board grip-tape

Hope you have a kit sponsor and a taint made of steel.

Carbon saddles do look great. I had a Prologo C130 which was okay for rides of less than 2 hours. And not at all okay for anything longer.

I have a Fizik antares 00 which is carbon and almost as light at 135g. The small patch of padding makes a word of difference and is (relatively) comfortable on 100km rides

having said that, this bike will look incredible

That's a shame as most of my rides are longer than 2 hours. Might have to swap saddles between bikes and use this only for vanity laps of RP.

Fabric ALM?

Amazing but £225 is spendy! Super lush and much want!

I used a stripped SLR. No real problems with slipping with bibs, the shape sort of takes care of that. It destroyed the crouch of my jeans though when I used it on a beater.

To paraphrase; carbon saddles are god's way of telling you that you have too much money.
-
• #165
It's a vicious circle. I have no money because I spent it on a carbon saddle. Too much time spent on the internet looking at bits I can't and probably shouldn't buy.

I have a tune komm vor and it's probably the most comfortable saddle I've ever had, I guess it all depends on shape

Hopefully I'll get lucky then!

My fancy pants carbon bars finally arrived from Germany today (Starbike). They were a good price and had the old logo on them on the website however what I received is a pair from the new 2015 range.
I didn't realise that Starbike is one of those companies that advertise things on the website that they don't actually have but can get in for you hence it took quite some time for them to source them and then a good while for them to arrive via DHL.
I'm not sure I actually like the new 'squiggle' on the front of the new Ergonova range and was specifically after last years bars with the old logo. Maybe it will grow on me but I really CBF sending them back. They're really light however and ave a pretty cool internal routing system.
Just waiting to get the wheels back now and we've got the green light to build!
I'll drop it in to Pete at Ratrace in Nunhead to do the cabling and gear setup this weekend/early next week. -

Does that mean you're selling your SMP?

Hi Ed,
No, still have it on my AL264 and will be keeping it. Taking longer than I'd like to get it setup in a comfortable position though. -

Looks sick and the paint on the seatpost picture looks majestic.
Tbh it'll probably look better in real life by the picture for me just looks odd.
Nice seat post
