I had same issue with those bars and a X2. Properly installed but very prone to slipping on a unexpected bump. I found there was quite a bit of leverage going on if you hold them towards the upwards bend and they only slipped when my hands had wandered all the way forward.
I cut mine down to take out the bend and they haven't slipped since.
Also look better as the bar-end brake lever runs parallel to the bar, not pointing to the ground.
