2 weeks should be ok shouldn't it? From what I have read, acclimitisation to 2260 (7500ft) takes two weeks - and an extra week for each 610 (2000ft) above that.
Given that he is at ~1900m I would have expected two weeks to be sufficient - although the effects of altitude are VERY variable from person to person... perhaps one of the reasons Wiggins is reluctant to do his attempt at altitude, as he has spoken previously about having problems at altitude iirc.
