IS that a BMW 3 series coupe on that Volvo body? It looks fucking great.
£4k plan may be out of the window, and 'fuck it, get a loan, buy the damn porsche' might be on.

That looks sweet. Friend of mines older brother had a Volvo 164 for a while. He built a new exhaust for it, just straight pipes, loud as anything and plenty of flames as well

It's Volvo sheet metal below the belt line, E36 M3 above/behind.

I do really like the 164/162 front end - here it is on a 245:

Didn't they make a 164 estate anyway?

• #22408
That'd be the 165, and no - there was a prototype or two I think, but it was never a model.

He'll make a fortune on each of them.
Nice work.

And, it's nice to hear he's actually going to throw them all around the track and enjoy them first.

I'd mothball them then sell them with delivery miles in a decade for three times what I paid, that's what cars are for
-
• #22419
Reckon he'd lend all three to top gear to sort their hybrid race conundrum?
-
• #22420
Tried to watch it but got as far him jizzing over "the buying experience"

Panzerwagen is fixed!
After investigating all the possible causes for obvious issues I decided to first try replacing the dizzy cap and rotor arm. Good job I did as the old ones were quite corroded, and the rotor wasn't a Bosch one. New ones fitted, and after a road test it is now performing like it should at all temperatures and traffic conditions. Wonderful.
BQ: "Most problems relating to them are the fuel metering body having a bent flap due to back firing through the intake or the injectors needing cleaning. TT Automotive in Loughborough would be one of the best places to look at it. "
