I cant take the bike on the underground. I live in zone 4 on one side of london and work zone 9 the other side. I cant ride that everyday. The walk from station is getting too much. So its either buy a gum tree bike or one of those scooters. A grown man....on a scooter.

hehe.. yes that is a funny image - using a micro-scooter thingy.
Where are you from, Narnia?
Your girlfriend was crying for hours and hours because you gave a bike to some chancer, and you want to do it again.
Sorry If I sound like a @@@@.

You need to put size info and suchlike on the post, might get more luck.
However, adrevporn makes a fair point... leave it overnight and weekends and it WILL get nicked. Could you stretch to a folding bike so you can take it on the tube, if that's your only option?

Adrevporn, Completely different thing mate. I did not give it away. We locked it up while getting a print from the library. Hardly giving it away. And we werent negligent.
ideally i wouldnt want to keep it there which IS EXACTLY WHY IM NOT LEAVING MY OWN BIKE there. Which is why im looking for anything thats cheap so i wouldnt hurt if it got nicked. Its not a big thing i just need something that rolls. So ill go buy a £30 gum tree bike for the commute from station to work and back.

All the bikes im seeing are there everyday with thin rope locks. Ive got a krypto so it shouldnt be a problem. They arnt going to saw through a krypto for a cheap bag of bolts.

I have three bikes that are your size. They aren't super ugly but I can definitely do something price wise (so you can save money and buy locks...)
Gitane Mach420 54cm with longer stem, Columbus Thron Custom steel, full Shimano RSX100 groupset= £ semi cheap
1987 Look 'La Vie Claire' replica, 56cm in Columbus Aelle steel with full Shimano 105 Groupset = £ cheap
And last but not least....
Motobecane Profil in 56cm, 2040 steel = £ super cheap -

With bikes this cheap, he can get one nicked per month and it would still cost less than a travelcard...

end of the district line to End of the metropolitan line. Cant get overground all the way there plus the ginger line is so slow my commute is already two hours there and another two hours back. I wouldnt want to add to it. Guys, im not planning on getting it nicked.
