• Those cranks would be unbalanced too ... he only drilled the drive side arm.

  • The description is fantastic "weight optimization"

    "Hello!!
For auction is this lovely Colnago Master tribute single speed bike with cyclo cross fork, carbon seat post and a drilled Alu stem
(Based on a made in Germany/ lugged Staiger Trento frame (ca. 1970), Specialized fork (ca. 1990))
The frame was severely weight optimized.
Weight optimization based on reducing riders weight to 75 kg, ovalise-ing of tube/ reducing wall thickness slightly along triple butting principles and drilling of holes
I have run frames which have been optimized exactly like this for decades
The process is extremely time consuming, I have invested about 100 man hours in modify-ing this frame, therefore this bike is an absolute bargain for the lucky winner,
and should I not have moved on to another project, (I want a De Rosa 60 year edition now :-)) I would never sell….

There is a whole lot of love spent here, a lot of "fatto a mano", (made by hand) as one of my fabricators at Bertone/ Torino/ in Italy used to tell me, when the drillings would witness a slight irregularity :-)
So, according to the old Nuccio Bertone it was just ok to see, that it was made by hand :-)

    Included in this auction:
complete single speed bike, as seen on pictures

    Happy bidding :-)"
