  • Didn't you try them on in the shop?

  • they usually run half a size big, then give quite a bit. You're better off buying them snug.

  • as in a US8 actually fits a UK8.

  • I'm gonna say Mulberry.

Though if you knew anyone going to central china or Turkey you could pick up one much cheaper.

  • We fix about 3 Mulberry bags a week, If I didn't make anything myself , I wouldn't buy one. The older ones are great, qwality has slipped alot in recent years.

  • ^He talks the truth, and he makes really good, tough bags, wallets etc...

    :)

  • @>>>>>> tried them on in uk shop was told 8.5, so thought I had to get a U.S. 9.5, brought them in New York, tried them on at the time felt fine, tried them on again at hotel where they felt super loose on my small foot. Took them back went down half a size, tried them on again in shop, felt fine, then took em for first walk back in london small foots heel kept sliding free. Been wearing them with insoles and laced tight. Thicker socks are at the ready...

  • Haven't broken either of mine but when I do I know where to come ;)

  • would you make one, murts?

  • not for 600 squids, of course

  • out of human skin?

  • okay, too far

  • I would love to make you a bag @BRM, a bit cheaper then them, made by someone you know, and ALL hand sewn, to your specs (if it isn't too expectant :)

  • Let's talk

  • after a nice slow dance....

  • creepy

  • Thanks for all your responses.

Sorry to keep the bag derail going, but...

I've heard a few people say this. Does anyone know of any other designer handbags (women's) which are still good quality and have good ethical practices?

  • Hit and miss, but Etsy handmade...

  • Stella McCartney does non-leather for ethical practices.

Weird I was just checking out the Chippewa, seem very good quality but great price. Thanks for the heads up.

    Any idea how they size?

Sorry I didn't see your question but if you get the wide options, one size down....Better still try them on at JCrew.

    Not shoes but leather...

    briefcases.
Any smaller brands I should be looking at? Don't really want to be paying top dollar (Mulberry etc)

    Thanks

I've reclaimed an old school Doctor style briefcase that I found in our loft. Well made, lasted the test of time...Maybe ebay?
