Ah, yeah I figured something must have gone wrong that forced that to happen. Were you and the bike alright? You racing again this year?

Yea bike was all good more dented pride then actual injury, as I wanted to finish the race with it being my 1st attempt at any sort of real racing.
Yea I plan to enter the race again this year. Main goal is to just finish. So hopefully be seeing you.

I've only seen Ash Duban and Kelli Samuelson say they're entering so far but I guess teams get a lot more of a heads up than us.

Apparently you no longer need a KNWU license as a foreign rider for these Dutch crits (just a 3Euro insurance daily charge) I'm hoping to make one or two.

As a total novice, what's a good way to get into racing crits?
-

Do some fast bunch riding first, or ideally a road crit to get the skills to ride fast in close proximity with other riders.
@Yukirin cheers for keeping the thread updated. I'll definitely be riding the London crits this summer and hopefully be able to make it to one or two of the Rad Race races.
Nocturne entry didn't open as early as feb last year, it was about May when the race was confirmed, prior to that it was just a TBC slot in the race program.
Re: it being a crashfest, there was definitely at least one crash last year. I only saw it out of the corner of my eye as I was taking the corner but it looked like the guy decided not to take the corner and chose to crash straight into the barriers. The race didn't feel dangerous though once everyone was settled into it.
Are people hoping to ride RHC? It might well be worth getting together and working as a team at least for qualification so we can work together and hopefully post decent times to qualify for the main race.
