B was my pub beater death trap faux-pro bike (breakless, clip less, toe overlap, with handlebars that didn't quite fit the stem so would spin if enough force went through them!), certainly be worse handling, but makes it feel really really fast! :)
Actually I it wasn't for the problems of finding good (long drop) brakes for it this would be my first choice by miles!

I'd be surprised if B or C resulted in significantly better handling than your CX bike.
