I'm tired of this butt kissing respect. It's one thing being a successful manager who wins trophies but he should be called on his behaviour. I would love to see journos just get up and walk out when he starts talking bollox like he has been recently. His face would drop a mile. Managers say absolutely nothing that we don't know anyway ' it's a game of two halls blah blah blah' they constantly whinge about refereeing decisions and journos are fawning over them. I always thought fergie was an unpleasant bully, a character trait I was raised to detest. Yet as far as the media would have us believe , because he won lots of trophies he was ' the master of the mind games'. I'm glad Roy Keane has some balls

As Liverpool are doing well now can I crawl out and wave my plastic flag or is it too soon?
-
• #115479
1) Save yourself the pain of false hopes being cruelly dashed in the inevitable end of season bed wetting fest.
2) Plastic flags are for Stamford Bridge. -
• #115480
Save the plastic flags for Chelsea supporters but it's never too soon to come back even if it is just to windup the classless rabble
I think Liverpool will go on now to finish third

Oh look, the wind direction has changed, spring is nearly here and Mike's mood has lightened. Two months ago he was advocating the sack for Brenda, now he's predicting 3rd.
Where's my lolcopter?

Let's hope City put them in place this weekend. This thread is far more enjoyable to read when Liverpool are in their annual bust cycle.

Honestly, 6 months of Scouse handwringing and calls for Rodgers to get the boot, followed by a string of decent form and suddenly you're all back on the bangwaggon, dishing it out like kids in the playground. Some things never change.

CLive's impression of Tommy Smith/E Hughes seeking to bring in others
for an unrelated incidents: awesome. When have I done that?
-
• #115486
It was not just Smith and Hughes. It is now repeated as fact by many commentators.

Are we going to hear condemnation for the West Ham supporters' anti semitism yesterday? Or is anti semitism, like homophoibia acceptable?
-
• #115488
liverpools away clean sheet yesterday was their 5th in a row
best since the days of joe fagan 30 years ago
mignolet remains third in the golden glove compowhat a turnaround, jumping on the bandwagon isn't so bad, it's just nice to have a bandwagon again

Give it up Clive, throwing mud isn't going to make Chelsea look any cleaner. Every club has its racists, unfortunately.
-
• #115490
Haha good to see all the other teams get twitchy now that Liverpool are on the up cycle.
Spring is nearly here and that brings with it certain guarantees
Arsenal to get knocked out in the Quarter finals of the CL and Chelsea the semis :)Happy days

liverpool's record in the last three seasons post xmas, is second to none
-
• #115492
Its those fucking months between August and December that really suck. Perhaps the FA can rearrange the seasons so they run from mid December to beginning of September

Also, the whole squad should go to Jamaica for holiday over summer. Failing that then Rodgers should drop them all from the squad and put them back in a couple of games later. Seems to work.

Funny how Ibe going back and playing well for LFC coincides with a rich run of form and an improved league position. Yet none of these kopite termites has even said thanks for the fine coaching and experience he got playing with us.
I seem to remember when he first turned up he was a one trick pony who ran with his head down and never passed to a team mate, infuriating to watch. A couple of months of Ste Ste coaching him how to actually play football and pass the ball and he's come on well.
You're welcome you ungrateful gits.

he came in after we went to a back three and has been rated as an equal to sterling for a few years now
he's been languishinging at derby after coaching from the wally with the brolly
-
• #115496
Still won you fuck all though.
25 years and counting.

• #115497
I was just coming here to post that.
If any other teams have some very talented youngsters that their celebrity coaches don't know how to coach, you know where to find us.

Cheers Rob!
I think we will make top 4.
Given the terrible start to the season, it's amazing we've caught up. Southampton and Man U are on a downward trend, spurs are too inconsistent. I think right now, it has to be us and Arsenal as favourites to make it in. Tough games coming up though.
