  • Sooo... I've got a budget of £700-800 to spend on glass as a company expense. Need a sanity check on this plan.
    I'm thinking of getting the 35mm f/2 IS for general use, low-light stuff (which is most jobs), wider portraits etc as well as video and supplement it with the 85 1.8.
    The X100 has been my 35mm equiv camera but I could really use the IS and extra speed of the Canon version, tbh.

    Or just get the 135 f2 L.

    ..never used the 35mm in question, but would definately buy the 85 / 1.8 if you have need for that focal length.
    It's an awesome lens for £250, image quality is very nice, and it focuses almost instantly - wish my Nikon was that quick..
