Just to be clear, I was not thinking in categories like 'interesting' or 'boring' -
more like: I perceive digital images as being more artificial, though their colours are more 'true' to life the images somehow feel more artificial to me - and also 'empty', though this discussion of digital being "soulless" is not one I want to start again (ok maybe I do).Merely talking about the colours, it made me wonder.
VSCOing all the things would add some "character", yes, but it would remain artificial.
Of course I post a lot of digital images, and emphasise this, or numb down that - and you can do this very, very well, and create stunning images - but it will always look "edited", and that's not what I'm after.
My point being you can do a lot of impressing shit in post, but you can't put something in there afterwards what hasn't been captured in the first place, I guess.
Accuracy is quite boring looking. I'm pretty sure our minds do a bit of post-processing on the way we remember things too so I think its just a case of digital stuff needing more work to get a final result that has some more character. Without overdoing it.
Just VSCO everything ;)
