You know I'd just suggest the Salisbury.
In fact I already did suggest the Salisbury.
Think global, drink local.

• #25753
Salisbury?
I'm keen.
-
• #25755
Royal Oak?
I can't make 3March, going to try and get to Brighton for an evening out.
-
• #25756
I predict confusion over whether I should walk down there in SPDs.

Pirate
Pop a link and allow no further discussion.
Am surprised SA isn't an option. Rams needs to clean his bike...

Rain forecast for the next two days and the towpath still hasn't dried from the weekend's deluge. Bugger cleaning it just yet.

@middleofnowhere does that mean you get to draw up the list of banned topics of conversation?

Really? No further discussion on the venue for next week? I could stick up an event thread but why not just keep it on here? I assume it would be where those most interested in coming would be looking anyway.
I think we can have a bit more discussion purely because we haven't really had any discussion yet and it's not as if we are booking tables or doing anything more difficult than picking a pub to turn up at. I just think that if I get all dictatorial it'll end up with me sitting on my own in the Salisbury crying tears of loneliness into a pint of Seafarers, which I can do pretty much any day of the week #keeptuesdaysspecial

What about The Navigation Harvester by Ponders End?

But it's not dirty.

Not dirty, just look at the lock on the floor...
Here's a suggestion, chat away for a couple of days but then make a call by Monday 1900 about next Tuesday's activity. That provides certainty for those glancing at the thread.
And Ponder's End. No.

Alternative to the Salisbury:
Earl Haig Hall - it's quiz night on Tues with a perrier award winning quiz bloke (best newcomer in 2001 - so he must be good!), Adnams lighthouse is £2.80 a pint and there's secure bike parking in the smoking terrace bit on the side - so we could have cheap drinks and come away with a prize...

all this and it's really near my house!

Ramsaye - have you considered Shaft drive and disc brake?
-
• #25767
Shaft drive on a fixed gear? Sounds a bit wrong.
-
• #25768
Jesus its been a long time on here, just tried to find the like button for ramsayes pic. Then was double clicling fornan instagram like...
Anyway. Will the pub be open in two weeks time?
-
• #25769
So, anyone else fancy quiz night? Could be fun but might get in the way of talking about sheds 'n' shit.
-
• #25770
So is it the Earl Haig or the Salisbury tomorrow?
-
• #25771
Lets have some lists...
Salisbury:
- middleofnowhere
Earl Haig Hall:
- Mikey5000

• #25772
or... we could do one tomorrow night and the other next week?
-
• #25773
Well if we do have to keep things so far west, I'm in favour of Butcher Haig Hovel.
-
• #25774
Thanks for your input Chris.

I thought this was the in thing in Essex circles?

Not open on Tuesdays though...
Flask reopens on 6th March.
Pirate or another will take care of something for next week.
I suggest Vine for 3rd March?
