Original sales thread HERE.
I traded a frame for this as I was keen to try out carbon and always had a liking for the R series with their long head tube, chunky tubes and thin stays. Turns out they ride beautifully, bonus! Nice and stiff, makes for a fast and light build and handles extremely well. I've been/am reducing my stable and I honestly would happily keep hold of this BUT, an unmissable opportunity has made me reconsider and its a direct clash for the R3.
My plan was to get it tidied up and re-painted in prep for this summer, but not gonna see that through now and seems pointless to get a custom paint job just to sell, so have priced accordingly.
It's pretty much in the same condition as when I got the frame, no crashes, drops, scrapes, etc...but there is a couple things to mention. The paint finish is pretty poor (compared to a glossy original) but can be sorted out with a bit of time and care. really, it deserves a new paint job.
Only issues (above general signs expected with a used frame) is there are clear signs of rubbing wear on the rear stays (have a look at the pics) I can only assume from where the previous owner ran larger tyres, maybe a wide 28c, which also may have been dished as there's more wear to the left hand side stay than the right. There's lighter signs of tyre rub on the inside chain stays. There are no structural issues, but would need a bit of prep time before painting...or, just ride as is and fear not the first chip, scratch, etc.
