  • I'm considering a new handset as mine is pretty fucked and I've been due an upgrade for at least 6months but an apathy has finally kicked in- I don't really need one. The screen cracked worse than Pookie from the New Jack* but it still works. I guess keeping on using this is the best way to keep a relatively clear conscience. Not sure I could stomach breaking through more plastic/cardboard packaging for an incremental increase in performance in the newest shiny thing just to add another handset to sit in 'that' drawer for another 5 years.

Now the market has hit saturation I guess the MO for phone companies is endless upgrades. It'd be nice when that point arrives where public opinion is strong enough to sway manufacturers to pay more than lip service to their approaches with new designs. I've found a couple of sites running "the greenest handsets on the market" both from the same year yet have different models?! Doesn't look like there is an independent body that state ratings outside of an individual company's marketing dept.

Sorry for the waffle, if you're that way inclined and you happen to come across any products that you think belong here, please add them.
