Something more traditional would be along these lines...

Say I would go for a single color or a two color fade and assuming it should be crazy as you guys are implying, what would be appropriate colors in your opions?

pink and blue

If you want some inspiration, here is Obree inspired frame by Mr. Rychtarski, made for beat hour record, never used because law changed.

That is one hell of a frame you got there! What a shame the design was banned.
Did you ever rode it at all?

That's the raddest thing I've ever seen! Would love to see it built up in track form, but also such HHSB potential!

I finally decided on the color scheme and the frame will go off to the painter today. I also picked up some other wheels for the bike in the meantime. They are Bontrager carbon XXX-lite. Not the newest, but from what I've read they should be pretty durable non the less. I also switched the handlebars for a ZIPP set.

So what's the colour skeme gonna be?

Keep a careful eye on the hub flanges on the Bontragers, I've cracked two.....

Currently I am trying to decide what color headset to go for. The front of the frame is going the light orange or yellow. A silver headset will look best with that color I think, although I am not sure if it will match all very well with the parts on the bike. Black will match better with the parts, but not sure if it will match with the frame.
Does anyone here know how the frame below from the paint porn thread looked built up?
I am thinking of going with a Tange instead of a Chris King for a change. The finish on a threaded one I ordered a while back was really nice, so I am expecting the same thing to be true for their threadless units.

always match headset to stem and spacers.

I never rode this frame, because it lies in Mr.Rychtarski workshop, he only showed me, and said that one day maybe he rebuild it :) It have custom Ti BB axle, and 100mm rear spacing (I guessed, and then Mr.Rychtarski confirmed that he modify standard 110mm Record for this purpose). And the raddest of all, it have 24" front wheel, and weights about a thousand tons :D

The frame came back from paint last week. It didn't turn out exactly the way I thought it would, but I am really happy with the end result nonetheless.
I built the frame up on Friday, for the most part anyway. The build was pretty straight forward, aside from the rear brake that is. For some reason I can't get it to center properly. Also, it keeps working its way loose from the brake nut.
Today I took the bike out for its maiden voyage. Given its rather unusual frame design, I was a tad nervous how the bike would hold up. Surprisingly though the bike rides like a dream. Despide the oversized seat tube, it kills road buzz unlike any bike I have ridden before. Shifting is nice and snappy and there is no noticaeble flex in the head tube or the bottom bracket area.
Here are the first pictures of the bike. More to come as soon as I finish it up.

Sound like it need a small washer between the brake and frame.

I think it looks fantastic!
It's rare that you get a project that dares to go beyond the edges of conformity.
What is it you weren't originally happy with? Length of fades? -

This is so awesome. Good job!

Looks incredible, would love to see this with a HED3 wheelset (or something similar)
