Clive, your weekly weather piece (which could still do with some proof reading) trades on stereotyping.

It's a perfectly acceptable position, it just undermines the condemnation.
As does saying the behaviour has been universally condemned by Chelsea supporters, when anyone who's peeked at social media over the last 24 hours knows this isn't the case.

Perhaps I follow the wrong people of Twitter and perhaps the Chelsea forums that I have looked at have been very quick in moderating. I have seen nothing but condemnation.

I do, however, follow the Guardian on Twitter and they have just posted this link
Which perhaps is more of an explanation than anything to do with Chelsea

One former schoolmate, who did not wished to be named, said Parsons and his younger brother Beno, who he believes was also on the same Paris Métro carriage as Josh on Tuesday night, were well known Ukip supporters during their time at Millfield private school over a year-and-a-half ago.
The boarding school, based in Street, Somerset, charges fees of £30,000 a year.
As I was saying, the new breed of Chelsea fans. Just as racist, but much posher.

This was an interesting post on a Chelsea forum:
What really annoys me about those idiots actions in Paris is that now
as black supporter of Chelsea I am having to defend myself to my black friends.
Here is a transcript of a Whatsup conversation I had a a Liverrpool
supporter. I think I managed to put him in his place.Me: A friend of mine went to Spurs v Liverpool and when the Spurs
supporters coach arrived the Liverpool hooligans said we are only here
to get your black supporters. Brown I was at Palace v Man Utd a few
years ago and the United fans were racially abusing their own
supporters. Point is every club as their racist element.Friend: Really.... Well this "friend" should have filmed it so the
world could see, as it stands you should feel ashamed as a black man
to follow such a clubMe: What a bizarre thing to say ! So I should let a few mindless
idiots drive me away from supporting my club ? Like Rosa Parks I stand
up to them not run away. I am proud to support a club that employed
the premier leagues first black manager. I was proud when the team
fielded 10 black players 4 years ago. I loved it when Eddie Newton was
assistant manager when we won the champions league and I am proud that
our director of football is black. When I go to games at least 4% of
the match day supporters are black. -

I'm struggling to see how Liverpool has anything to do with this unsavoury incident.
Should be a good game tonight. Looking forward to seeing a resurgent Liverpool in Europe. I reckon we will sneak a victory tonight

Because like those Liverpool and Arsenal fans, you are using this situation to try and score points.
It's not a competition about who has the worse fans. Everyone one has their idiots. Let's not forget those SOS cunts with their munich songs. But I'll admit it, and not try and deflect it by trying to make others clubs fans look worse.

Some people, who appear to be Chelsea fans, are racists. Not all. Not zero. That's all we can take from this incident.

Everton in playing well in Europe shocker, despite currently being down to ten men for a cheaply given penalty.
Lukaku looks back to his best with this performance, will probably get his confidence up for the league. -

Good result for Everton there.
Come on Jor Jor, captain this Liverpool team to victory!
-

Soldado's just scored one from the edge of the area!

Interesting team sent out by Mau Mau
Lloris; Walker, Vertonghen, Fazio, Davies; Bentaleb, Paulinho; Chadli, Eriksen, Townsend; Soldado.Subs: Vorm, Rose, Lamela, Dier, Kane, Dembele, Mason.
Looks like he's rotating just enough, got to say I wouldn't have had Soldado/Paulinho or Townsend down to start this game.
Made a really bright start, Chadli had a great chance early on, and right now we're all over Fiorentina, first to the ball, looking dangerous every attack. Got to keep it up.

We're all over them, got to make this dominance count, even Townsend's got his harrying boots on. Paulinho's straining at the bit wanting to break forward.
Bentaleb's just run the length of the field and had a deflected shot, easily saved by the keeper.
Got to say Salah looks like Fiorentina's most dangerous outlet. -

Not an epic game, should have scored a few more, but good on Mar Mar for finishing the pen.

we paid 16mn for mario ... a bad deal but we'll have something to sell on and recoup some money
manutd will have spend nearly that on a crocked half fit non scoring falcao who they'll have to hand back at the end of the season as he's only on loan
not happy about our deal but looks half decent when compared to falcao -

bit of a meh game last night
we were off the pace from the start, lack of end product all round from the front line
bit of a lack of understanding in some passing, but due to the changes understandable
you could see the effect of the ballotelli issue at then end, hendo's head went down, studger lost a bit of focus, we lost momentum and it nearly cost us as besiktas had a good passage of play after the goal
anyhoo ballotelli 2 in 2 and a lead to take to turkey
not all bad -

He only responds to And And or Cor Cor now.
The point being made by many Liverpool and Arsenal supporters is that the behaviour of those few idiots (whose behaviour and I attitude I most certainly do not condone) is typical behaviour of all Chelsea supporters and only Chelsea supporters. My point is that the problem is far wider than Chelsea and affects all clubs (apart obviously from Leicester) but does not affect all supporters of all or any clubs but is restricted to a minority whose actions are condemned by the overwhelming majority.
Apparently this is an unacceptable position. I cannot see why.
