The X100/s/t is great - takes a bit of getting used to but the image quality is v.nice. Mainly though, its unobtrusive and basically silent which will probably change the way you take pictures.
As for the slide film emulation, yeah, it has a bunch of presets but they dont really reflect the films they're named after. Still very nice though. I usually shoot raw+jpeg and will often be happy with just the jpeg.
