My first glance guess is an illegal mine of some sort. Possibly gold, but could be lots of things. Also it could of course be legal, but given it's location my guess is not.
The TL:DR answer to the question you didn't ask, is that modern satellite technology is increasingly enabling (near) real time monitoring of global forests to detect illegal activities in remote regions, and websites like Global Forest Watch are trying to bring this data to a wide public. Interestingly, if you look at that same spot on the GFW site (here if it works...) it seems to suggest that the area was cleared pre 2001, and that it seems to be partly regenerating. However also notice how one of the pools has been mis-classified as regenerating forest, highlighting the difficulties of remote classification.

The GFW sounds really interesting, I'm gonna have to look at that properly.
I did wonder if it was some sort of mine - that would be a pretty big achievement if it is, in terms of getting all the machinery to the middle of nowhere. Thats kind of how I found it, by looking at the Amazon and trying to find the most remote spot. Looks like whoever made that did the same thing before hand.
Any idea what this could be on google maps?
