  • I'm thinking of getting a Fuji X100s, it was praised highly by a cameraman friend of mine because of its ability to mimic old fuji slide film, as I'm shooting 35mm E6 on an old rangefinder, and I think I'd like to get it to replace my Ricoh GR.
Anyone got one and like/love it? Anyone got one to sell for small beer? (cheeky I know) Anyone have any shots they've taken with it, which show how good/bad it is?

    Let me know.

Should just say all the reviews I've seen online are of the "I love this camera so much, its a step forward from the X100, which was also a great but quirky camera" variety, so I'm probably looking for a bit more affirmation, before I stump up the cash...

  • Had a play with a X100S the other day.
I'm not in the market for a camera like this, but was very curious still, seing how Fuji managed to get such a overwhelming response to their recent cameras - and of course seing images from the X100 series cameras and really loving the colours / being quite impressed with image quality in general.

I read about how beautifully made it is, but really my first impression was that it does feel somewhat dinky. Didn't like holding it in my hands, basically, I don't know - the way it feels / the size and feel of the dials and buttons.. just didn't like this at all.

I guess my point being: image quality is great, but if you come from a "true" 35mm film rangefinder then better go hold it in your hands and see if you like it.
