Cool, thanks for the advice.
In my head, if it was just the first thread crossed preventing the pedal going in, the tap might sort that first bit out, leaving the rest to be "good enough"?
My other logic was that if it all went wrong, i'd be less than a tenner out of pocket.
As it is I spent far more than 10 pounds in the pub leaving me worse off and feeling average.
