When did you order yours? I've got one coming, but the expected date was a bit wooly

It's obvious that they're doing a bit of brand disruption to stop the whole thing from stagnating. My prediction - a couple of seasons of this jazzy crap and then they'll start re-plugging into their 'classics' collection to keep all the old people happy, whilst pushing this more stuff forward and keeping the Pro Team selection minimal and serious-feeling, (with performance nomenclature) as possible to feed their custom club kit scheme.

Henri Cornet?
-
• #19559
Ah yeah, that Trek logos does look like a badger face, whom in the peloton was referred as a Joker?
Henri Cornet?
in the 80's?
-
• #19560
Must admit the Badger is very Trek like..

I'm sure you've got the capability and the time to google it yourself.

'Three Pro Team jerseys have been designed to resemble the Renault, ANC and La Vie Claire teams of the period, each with plenty of knowing touches for fans of the originals. A car-badge inspired logo sits on the chest of the Renault re-imagining while an Oakley-style sunglasses graphic adorns the La Vie Claire jersey, invoking the image of Greg LeMond. The ANC-inspired jersey is littered with joker and playing card symbols, highlighting the British team's wildcard entry to the Tour de France in 1987.'

I think it's the faux branding that bother me the most. Cheap looking and unnecessary.

30/01, its come directly from china hence the woolyness I suppose.

• #19565
What's going on at rapha? I thought they were all about the understated cycling garment?
-
• #19566
No, they're all about the expensive cycling garment
-
• #19567
Makes you wonder if they are going to bring out a Laura Ashley/Kath Kidston flower print colab in spring given those "efforts" above....
-
• #19568
I imagine that the new stuff is trying to appeal to bankers with no taste?
-
• #19569
I suspect they figured you only need so many monochrome cycle jerseys
-
• #19570
^ This. That's the trouble with selling durable and timeless items. You rapidly saturate your market leaving you with no scope for further growth.
-
• #19571
Quite a fan of the new pattern tbh, gonna look bloody awful if you have a paunch and distort the stripes mind. The rumoured skinsuits could be interesting.
-
• #19572
I like their new look.
It says "Rapha. The same shit as every other cycling clothing manufacturer. Except really expensive."
