I used to saunter down there when I was a skinny youth, corner of Railton and Mayall roads.
you used to get brothers popping out of doorways mumbling something about 'draw' and if we wanted some.
They should never have burned down Burtons menswear shop, that was the real beginning of the end...

this is terrible news, the skate park has been given a community value stamp or something but its no longer funded by the council, property developers are sniffing around that site.
we all know Brixton is a changing town, but its the wholesale sweep that is angering, along with the arches under threat too from rail network selling it all off its a bad time. I really hope that Brixton Cycles doesn't have to move and the skate park stays they are both very important part of Stockwell/Brixton.

find it surprising that the council gave planning permission without first ensuring there's a nearby home for such an established business, with obvious community value,
guess, at least for its customers it could be called an 'Asset' of Community Value?!
