So whilst everyone else is getting used to 11 speed I'm reviving my 10 speed Campag groupset (shifters were second hand the rest was purchased new). Its a mix of Centaur and Veloce. As the shifters are the oldest part (and most worn out) I'm going to replace them.
I ordered the 10x Veloce silver alloy shifters. Partly because they're silver (although I may change this as most of the bike bits are black) but also because they're the 2015 model. Am I right in thinking the Centaur shifters shown here are 2013 or 2014 models? In which case the Veloce's should work a tad better (or just as well) - despite being a lower model, given the trickle down and improvement of Campag technology.
Ignoring the colour options should I get the Veloce's or the Centaur? (its not too late to change my order)
Not keen on the Red and Black Centaurs. I'd get the carbon if they weren't triple specific. Does this even matter on Campag levers? I was under the impression it didn't.
Kind of annoyed they don't do Athena level 10 speed anymore. Price of progress I guess.
Also I know they do 10 speed Record but they're ridiculously expensive and the old shape which I currently have and find them too small (I have big hands).
Finally I'll need a new cableset. Campag sets are ridiculous and really nothing special for the money. Any recommendations?
