You're right - I wouldnt have said exactly the same thing; but I would have said something more or less the same.
If some bloke was interviewed and said "I'll miss shopping, hair gel, and cologne if I get to Mars" then I'd have been equally dismissive of the guy as a candidate.
It's nothing to do with her being a woman, it's my contempt for supposedly serious people possibly 'missing' stupid shit like cosmetics, and conspicuous consumption. So back off with the sexism insinuations. I treat all morons with equal disdain regardless of gender.

If it was a bloke and he'd said "I'll miss going to watch the football" noone would have batted a (false-lashed) eyelid. What's the big deal?
