  • How lovely it was this morning completely made up for how god dang awful it was last night.

  • Yep - a good one - bottled out of Ally Pally even though I could see the edge of a fabulous sun-rise from sea-level which would have looked exspectacular from the palace. A 1-shout ride - this time at a lady on a phone ambling across a road 5m from a...er....crossing. Coffeee at Christchurch at The Coffeee Cup (which I highly recommend by the way) and out of lycra into pinstripes by 8.30. Sorted. When is home-time?

  • what has any of this got to do with the fact that s/he was south african?

    edited for PC GONE MAD!

  • How do you know they're a he?

For all you could know, he's gender neutral.

  • that's very true, ed(ited).

  • Because I like how open (in my experience) they are. To be fair my experience extends to one week there for work and knowing a few over here, but I find they're not backwards in coming forward.

I think a brit who couldn't work his (OR HER) new shifters would just suffer in silence rather than ask a fellow promuter and risk being thought of as a newb.

Yes it's racist, but in a good way so not really racist AAAAHHHHH.

  • fair enough. most of the ones i've met have been cunts. and racists. you're lucky he didn't burn down your village.

  • Spitting Image video in 3..2..1..

  • You'll get called out for this here, but I understand. It's annoying when people take up way more road space than they need. I used to undertake in that situation but now wait until I can pass them on the right, and mumble at them asking if they needed that much tarmac as I pass. No doubt they can't hear me, but it makes me feel better.

  • It's not really taking up more road space than you need unless you consider the road starts at the left and you should always be there, if you consider the road starts in the middle of the lane then you are taking up less space.

  • Armed police have blocked off walworth road in both directions outside dragon castle.

  • Dragon castle sounds pretty cool.

  • 6 month dredge, are you related to @Multi_Grooves ?

  • Yeah, well, back off adventurer. The cops got to the gold pile first.

  • driven at by some sweaty cunt and his giggling bum-chum in a fucked old skoda full of builders tools, empty cans of stella and old newspapers ten yards from my house. offered me out on the street but soon lost his bottle. die of lingering arse cancer you tragic waste of skin and organs.

  • Still commuting from Wimbledon village to Wimbledon? :)

  • Cut up by driver on corner, distracted, hit Grand Canyon sized pot hole, full wipeout in front of traffic. Bloody elbow and hip, plus sprained wrist. There goes my zero crash record. Pride hurt. New bar tape tarnished. Having been discussing the safeties of cycling in London only 5 minutes early, the irony barometer is off the chart.

  • Report potholes ASAP, and council should pay for the damage.

  • Will do. Whats the procedure? How do i get them to replace my shiny new bar tape? Will they really do that!?

  • Lol rep.

I assumed it was the hill that was partially responsible for you managing to go down it so fast on a heavy bike.

  • Nah, it was nowhere near the hill, the route is through Raynes Park on Kingston Road to Kingston, Hampton Court then Walton, so fairly flat enough to maintain a higher average speed.

The front half of the bike is heavier too.

  • Depends where in RP, but I go over Combe hill, short sharp hill is worth it for the down hill on the other side... (Wimbledon to teddington for me)

Or do you go that way in the hope of seeing James?! :)
