Ok so on Friday afternoon I was knocked off my bike. I slid under the rear wheels of the car and just managed to pull my leg out the way before she drove over my rear wheel. Scary stuff.
Briefly, I was going straight on and she was coming in the opposite direction turning right across my lane. No cars in front of me, she could see me clearly up the road, plenty of time to make a call as to begin her turn or stay put. No SMIDSY, no excuses.
Thankfully I just have bruised ribs. After I got up out of the road I gestured for her to stop. She pulled into the side of the road for maybe 10 seconds, the passenger put a 'and what?' arm out the window then they just drove off.
Thankfully I had a witness who gave me his contact details and a vehicle reg. After calling 999 and getting a lift home with the police they confirmed that they had a local address. Just now I've had an email from the policeman saying that the driver DID report the collision but is not accepting dangerous driving. I'm fucking fuming. I have sore ribs and a knackered bike. She didn't even fucking stop?!
Without reading this entire thread, what are my options?
