i think it depends what year. my 77 ab (which has mudguard eyelets too, and long rear dropouts) has very generous clearances which i reckon would go to 32 at least.
regarding the restauration pista; it does all look original, but they ground off the ends. it has great potential to ride as is or swap tt and keep rat look.
anybody on here got it?
