but the hair.... the hair..... so much hair

Yeah I asked Helson to make me one with the crown on that side. I love it.
I wish you could get all watches that way round. I like to wear them low on my hand like that so anything with a big crown is a no from me.

Any tips on Rallye style straps for older watches? My latest one on my Seiko Bellmatic, it's just a little too short....

The IWC has a small dink in between 11 and 12, but the pair were such a good deal, I couldn't resist.

I can take the IWC off your hands...

Thought you'd say that.

Good work, the IWC is lovely...

Was the IWC the one on eBay that was relisted?
Love the Omega Dynamic. Super 70's. Looks better on the bracelet in my opinion.

I had one on the bracelet a couple of years ago and couldn't get on with it - punted it on to some fella in Kiyoto.
The IWC might have been on the bay at some point.

How much should one expect to pay for a full service and replacement front glass for a 70s(?) Omega Geneve automatic?
We've recently discovered my grandfather's old watch and although it hasn't been worn since his death in the mid '80s it still seems to work, although it seems like the second hand occasionally catches on the hour marks causing it to lose time sporadically. Also, although the glass seems to be in reasonable condition, it has a single deep scratch all the way across.
It would be nice to revive it if possible.

Swiss time services.
About £400.

I believe Christian Dannemanne will do it for £130 odd plus a new crystal.

The crystals are £27 plus VAT at Cousins. It may be possible to polish the crystal instead though.

Very nice looking Dynamic!
I'm having my Dynamic serviced by Swisstime right now - it costs around £425.
I sent it in in December and should be getting it back any day now.
The service cost more than the watch (around £300), which wasn't keeping good time, but it should come back as good as new....
I'll report back once I have it.
If it's not too nosy, how much approx was the IWC?
Again a lovely looking watch.... you can't see the dink in the photo.

Stunning iwc. Really nice. Looked into getting one but size was an issue.

Not big enough?

Noticed my skx007 has started loosing a bit of time recently, maybe just a few minutes per month. I got it in May 2011 so it could probably use a service. Recommendations?

Maybe ask Alsal to regulate it, and if they think it requires cleaning (ask them) then go for it. Modern oils do not dry out for a very long time.

@ChainBreaker taste and subtlety were probably more of an issue...

Other half needs to get her Breitling serviced. Can this only be done on Bond St?
