If it's in your size and good working condition then I'm sure it will be fine, even an "awful" bike if it's comfortable to ride you can get huge enjoyment out of it. It all comes down to the condition really, if it's nackered you could spend that again to get it back on the road or have just got another bike.
Please do what you can to check it isn't stolen, if you suspect it is then do the decent thing and try reunite it with it's owner, £100 is rather cheap and at the same time if you only ride it a little before it's recovered also very expensive for yourself.

I had Jamis Beatnik for a while - commuted on it. The components were pretty rubbish but the frame itself was fine. You could do a lot worse, especially at that price.

I think mine was £300-350 new (2011 model) and I later sold it for £190 with a decent D-lock and Cateye front light thrown in, with newish Panaracer tyres and little in the way of frame wear. So £100 isn't that suspicious really, assuming it's not brand spanking new?
Edit: Depending how 'sub' £100 it is.

Cheap and cheerful, buy it trash it and buy new bike.
Getting my first FG, wondering if anyone had any experience of this bike? I've found one sub 100, seems like a reasonable price?
