Hi Madzho, firstly I apologise for polluting your thread, but PJP's comment warrants a firm response...
PJP, my interest in Madzho's shifters is totally unrelated to my offer to sell you some shifters. Madzho's are RSX-100 which I'm interested in to upgrade an RSX-100 groupset I have on a bike from downtube shifters to brifters. My offer to sell you my RSX brifters was a genuine one, and was in response to your wanted advert.
Also you seem to imply I was somehow forcing them on you, I pm'd you twice in 12 days, hardly a bombardment. Furthermore I told you my brifters were 8 speed as soon as I tested them, I'd never fitted them so needed to check, I blatantly wasn't trying to pull the wool over your eyes.
Lastly, you mention that the 8 speed brifters I offered wouldn't shift correctly on your 7 speed cassette, that's not the case, if you check Sheldon's page on cassettes and cog spacing you'll see that the difference in spacing is only 0.2mm, 7 speed being 4.8mm, 8 speed being 5.0mm, and the consensus online is that by fine tuning using the upper and lower limit screws on your rear mech, 8 speed brifters are compatible with 7 speed set ups.
You talk about me acting against the spirit of the forum, I don't see how that's the case whatsoever, but you sir are talking out of your arse!
@GreatSince78
Trying to sell me your 8 speeds as 7's then buying some new ones for yourself?
That's the spirit of the forum right there.
