  • Witchcraft.

    No, trackstanding.

  • NO Trackstanding.

  • I'm too tired to try another threadgasm.

  • But it would make me happy...

  • I have onlyjust noticed that magically I wrote come find me on Grindr while I was in the other room

  • What, even if I hold it in my left hand? I'm right handed BTW.

Ambidextrous and kinky. I like it.

  • I am. LFGSS and youporn down under. Its rubbish, all upside down....

upside-down trackstands. Now there's something new...

  • ... All the trackstand comps I've seen have been attached to alleycats or in proper track sprinting. An event specifically for the TS would be pretty shite

makes sense... just how exciting would it be to watch a bunch of guys wobbling on their fixies for hours on end

on second thoughts, don't answer that.

  • The great track standing competition.

At yesterday's Ride London mass cycling event all over the west end and city London Cycling Campaign ran a track standing competition.
As a spectator sport it fits somewhere between watching paint dry and watching county cricket.
Early in the day someone set a time of 5 minutes - that was it we thought. No one will want to stand around for much longer than that, except that the prize was a new Tokyo Fixed.
Then came the forum's own @photoben and put in an amazing time of 25 minutes, he really wanted that bike.
We thought it was all over, no one was even interested in trying to beat that. As a spectator draw to the LCC stall it was not working well. We were about to sign the bike over to Ben but then after lunch along came Logan de Monchaux-Irons, Cycle Club Hackney's 14 year old star. He hopped on the bike and stayed and stayed and stayed. There was a bit of a wobble around 24 minutes 30 but he held on, passed 25 and went on to go over 30 minutes.
I'm sorry you missed it Ben but there is no stopping these young kids. On Thursday LCC's Amy was put out of the street velodrome racing at Broadgate by another 14 year old.

  • .

  • Come to the British and Irish Cycle Courier Championships http://lcef.wordpress.com/2014/08/10/british-and-irish-cycle-courier-championships/
    Play track standing darts

  • Footdown is MUCH better.

  • Yes footdown fun
(We play that a lot with people while cycle training. Good for practising control skills)
They're playing that too I think at the B&ICCC

  • Great

  • There's a comp at the London Bike Show: http://www.thelondonbikeshow.co.uk/whats-on/the-revolution-longest-lap-track-stand-challenge

'Come to the Revolution stand, get on a HOY bike and get balancing – all riders who can last over a minute will get a free ticket to the Revolution event* and the male, female and under 16 rider at the top of the leader board at the end of the weekend will each win a pair of VIP hospitality tickets.'

  • Think Indra's already won, fuck wasting over 45 minutes beating him.
