The showrunners said it was meant to be 80% serious and 20% humour, I think. Something like that. I've watched two episodes and they are clearly setting up for the main action, I think it's got potential. I really like it so far. More does happen in the second episode though.
Wolf Hall is fantastic. Proper TV. According to the Telegraph, "Ratings have fallen off by a third, some viewers are finding the large cast of characters confusing and claim they can’t see anything through the Tudor candlelight."
I suspect some viewers are idiots who thought they were going to get a Downton-esque soap opera...
First episode of Better Call Saul was interesting, quite a few other Breaking Bad characters resurfacing.
