Usually done to sort out talipes that some babies are born with (mayeb from being scrunched up in the womb for a long time, maybe genetic, no-one knows for sure). Quite common. Most of the time it's mild enough that it disappears on its own (my daughter had her mild case sorted out with a couple of hours of physio in the first weeks after she was born) but sometimes needs some help before they're at the walking stage.
Why have the baby's feet been clamped together!?
