Place cable in vice, clamp lightly (don't deform the cable), have needle nearby, wear safety goggles
Apply dremel, holding the loose end of the cable in the other hand, keeping the cable stable.
Cut all the way through.
Lightly apply pressure to the end with the flat side of the cutting disc to polish and heat up the end. Lightly! Too much pressure will send cutting disc shards flying everywhere, especially in your face.
Turn off dremel, place aside, quickly grab needle and stab the cable end.
Wiggle.
Done.
Works well with a little practice.
