  • Yesterday I installed a new headset and fork on a frame. All the bits should match but there's a gap between the fork crown and HT, anyone know why?

  • Crown race seated right down? My subrosa / charge scissor combo had a similar gap, lbs said it's quite common and just make sure it's well greased #couldbechattingshit

    Because if there wasn't a gap you wouldn't be able to steer. After that, we're just talking aesthetics and tolerances. There's a fair bit of variation in the depth of the bearing seats on integrated head tubes, headsets are made to work with the worst example of a too-deep bearing seat cut.
