Over what distance?
Me or the French? I was talking about 10 miles, I don't think the French track team can count to more than 4 laps.
I doubt that the hollowed out Io end caps are as good as a single aerofoil of the same frontal area, although they might be stiffer.

Source for cup washers?

Alloy bolts?

The pictures are just a serving suggestion, you don't get any bolts with those washers and aluminium is lighter than steel
Not sure what length or diameter you'd need for your hub (M6x25mm?) but might as well get them from Probolt as well. I think Tester now recommends Torx bolts, but I can't find those.

I ordered stainless steel, M6, 15mm.
Lets see if I die.

• #34
Isn't that going to have <10mm of thread engagement? Your teeth...

Torx bolts come from Accuscrews. I use 16mm ones into steel and Ti axles, but I'd go for 20mm into aluminium with an oversize pilot
http://www.accuscrews.co.uk/hexalobular-countersunk-screws/7599-SHK-M6-20-A4.htmlThey now do blacked A4 stainless too if you're going super tarty to match a stealth build, but MOQ is 100

Which of course, as I am that tarty, I will be ordering at some point, so I'll have plenty spare :-)

- Scilly Suffolk - a dozen or so, depending on *your *MOQ...

The bolts I've got are black, what are they? Presumably not A4 stainless...
-
• #40
The ones I gave you are 10.9 grade CrMo

M6×16mm Torx countersink screws in blacked A4 stainless steel will be winging their way to me as soon as Accuscrews actually make them, i.e. a couple of weeks. If anybody wants any of the spares they are 25p each plus £2.50 p&p

Yes please: eight to make it worthwhile if available.
EDIT
Don't wish to be greedy: I'd like four pairs, but feel free to distribute according to need. -
• #43
I'll take a couple off you next time we're at a 10.

I've bought 100 and only need about 10, so there are plenty to go around.

Anybody need any spare TX30 keys? I'm going to get a couple for my own needs, I'll get extras if needed, Draper 33628, £2
-
• #46
Thanks for the offer, but I'm sorted: Campag Ergo use them.
-
• #47
I haz, but thanks anyway. Irritatingly the only one I'm missing from my set is a T25.
-
• #48
I'll get an extra T25 while I'm at it if you want.
-
• #49
That'd be good, cheers.

Don't do it on a disc brake MTB wheel, stick to a proper enclosed cam QR at the very least.
Is this true with all hubs using these kind of fittings or just the home converted ones?
If I convert my quick release skewers to bolt on for security reasons will i still be able to mount my soma rack to the axle?
