Yep, has definitely happened to me. I once was so angry at being pushed off the road I tried to smash a bus window with my bike. Happily in my experience such terrible driving of buses is rare. I think a change in my own behaviour, as I've described, has also led to fewer similar incidents. If there's a bus behind me, I take primary, so they can't get past. If there's one in front, I hang back or overtake on the right. ed's point is that cyclists are encouraged to hug the gutter by cycle lanes. Problem is, the safest reactions to situations are as varied as the roads, and inexperienced cyclists are bound to get it wrong, often.
