It's easy once you get the hang of it but most of the guides appear to be written from a position of knowledge so you've got to be careful not to miss out things that are taken for granted.
Lollipop on my Nexus 5 is slow (the screen likes to redraw each time I press home) and gives significantly worse battery life.
